Patron: Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall PDF Print E-mail

duches
Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall’s
patronage of Carmarthen Youth Opera, her first in Wales, was announced on the 30th June 2010. In celebration of the occasion the company presented a private performance for her, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and invited guests at the Lyric Theatre Carmarthen. Following the performance the royal couple were invited on stage to meet members of the group and to unveil a commemorative plaque. Her Royal Highness was particularly delighted with the youngest members and congratulated them personally.  Their Royal Highnesses are both great supporters of the arts and regularly attend concerts and theatre shows, often fundraising events for charities with which they are affiliated. The Duchess’s interest in the arts is reflected in some of the other patronages:  the London Chamber Orchestra, the New Queen’s Hall Orchestra, The Theatre Royal Bath Royal, Elmhurst School for Dance, Tetbury Film Society, Unicorn Theatre for Children and the restored Georgian Theatre Royal, in Richmond, Yorkshire.  We are deeply honoured and proud to have this wonderful member of the Royal family as our Patron.  To find out more about Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall visit her official website at
